Top 5 Bars in Mumbai – The best of the Nightlife in Mumbai

You might have an image of Bombay, being a crowded polluted city, surrounded by very poor slums. Yes, but it’s also the city of Bollywood, models, actors, busy nightlife and parties. It is also the home of 26 billionaires in dollars (surprised?).

Mumbai by night is very beautiful; and the weather gets better. So where to have a drink in this amazing city, here is a list of Mumbai’s best 5 bars/pubs:

1- Olive Bar

Olive is a Mumbai tradition and especially on a Thursday night! Olive Thursdays are a must do!
Situated in Bandra, Olive offers Mediterranean cuisine (Paella, Pizzas, etc.), if you are looking for typical Indian food, eat before going to Olive!
Olive is often frequented by Bollywood stars and their entourage, but in Olive the crowd is too cool to care. The music is good and most of the people stay up in the garden, you can easily start a conversation with strangers (stay cool and always wear a smile).
If you would like to have diner, call for a reservation!

2- WTF!

WTF! Is a cool cozy place, it gives you the choice of staying inside or chilling at the big terrace.
WTF! is plastered with posters of Pulp Fiction and Bob Marley, and dotted with old vinyl. The music is good and varies on different days. The indoor can be a place to dance and outside a chilled out hangout making it a good variation of choice. The best part is people here are always happy and often a celebrity hangout.

Prices: 2,6$ for a beer

3- AER

Mind-blowing view and a must do. A little expensive but it’s completely worth it!
Open-air rooftop bar on the 34th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. Cocktails at sunset are popular, with the city's lights on one side, the sea on the other, and a laid-back crowd moving in between – but by midnight you'll have to weave around a dancing mob to get to the bar. Dress up or dress down, but leave the trainers at home.

Prices: 7,5$ for a beer

4- Vie

Personally I love this bar/restaurant in Juhu, not very far from the local Airport, so you’ll get to see some airplanes every now and then. I always sit in the very big terrace and enjoy diner, drinks and conversation with my friends. The food is very decent and the prices are not as high as other restaurants/bars in Mumbai. The music played is mainly Bollywood-ish, but it’s played inside and you can avoid it by sitting in the terrace or you can go inside and show them how you dance!

Prices: 5$ for a beer

5- Elbo Room

This is very typical bandra west chill out place. Attraction of this place is those crazy retro nights on Sunday where you will get to listen to awesome retro music.
Crowd is super awesome and I think most of these people are regulars as many of them know each other.
Service at bar is really nice and yes if you want to enjoy music you should sit or stand whatever place you can get at inside section.
Outer section is also nice only if you have a gang and more interested in talks than music.
Menu is regular with regular stuff. Not a cost effective but yes worth an experience.

Prices: 3,2$ for a beer
